Because You Just Can’t Keep a Toothbrush in Your Pocket
Everyone wants to keep their teeth clean. Clean teeth lead to fresh breath, easy dental exams and elevated confidence. But it isn’t always convenient or even possible to brush your teeth every few hours. Making smart choices throughout the day can help you to meet all of your dietary needs while maintaining a fresh and clean mouth.
The 3 best things you can do for your teeth are:
Start With a Clean Palette (pun intended)
While it really isn’t reasonable to brush your teeth all day, at least begin and end your day with a clean mouth. Brushing your teeth at least twice (and flossing at least once) a day is vital to good oral hygiene. By removing debris from the surfaces of your teeth, you eliminate the daily build-up of plaque causing bacteria. This means that the bacteria  must start from scratch every day because there is no film left for it to build on.
Eat Healthy Snacks
Not only do healthy snacks provide the vitamins essential for strengthening teeth, but some vegetables and fruits can act as natural scrubbers, actually removing plaque build-up from the teeth. Foods such as carrots, celery, apples and seeds help the mouth maintain a healthy pH which can eliminate some bacteria. Dairy products, such as cheese and milk, have low acidity levels to discourage decay while providing calcium, which facilitates strong teeth. And if you just feel like chewing but aren’t hungry for a snack, choose sugarless gum.
Drink Water
Water is great not only because your body needs it, but because it helps rinse away acids and debris from the teeth. It also encourages saliva production, which is the mouth’s natural cleanser, providing vital nutrients to the teeth.  A wet mouth is not a friendly environment for bacteria.
Keeping your teeth clean all day is as easy as 1-2-3! Start your morning with a thorough brushing routine, and then eat healthy foods and drink plenty of water. You will feel good and your smile will be proof-positive that you are keeping those pearly whites squeaky clean.
